Climate
The climate of Agra is extreme and tropical. Summers are extremely hot and the maximum temperature can be as high as 45 degree Celsius, while winters are cold and foggy. Heavy rains and high humidity mark the monsoon season. Agra can be visited throughout the year, but one must avoid the extreme hot summers (April-June) and rainy season (July-Sept). The most suitable time to visit Agra is in winters.

Shopping
Apart from being the City of the Taj, Agra is also a paradise for shoppers. Your trip too Agra will be less meaningful if you do not experience its bustling streets or major shopping malls in the city with the great displays of a wide variety of goods. Well-crafted leather work like shoes and bags, carpets, durries, saris and embroidery, trinkets boxes with inlay work on marble are readily available to choose from.

Cuisine
Mughal specialities can be generally tasted in all restaurants throughout the city while the continental cuisine can be found in the larger hotels. It is also a good idea to try the local sweet called petha and the tangy fried snacks.
